BIO

My name is Jorge Devotto, I am originally from the small city of Arica at the top North of Chile (South America). I fell in love with Journalism and Photojournalism since Fall 2020. I am a professional Camera person in the Industry with 20 years in the IATSE Local 600 union. My dream job involves giving back to the community. So I became an Art/Photography teacher, a waterpolo and rugby coach

I studied Graphic Design at the Catholic University of Valparaiso (Chile), I have a Certificate in Directing from UCLA Extension, and currently, working on my first documentary “Azapa”.

Trying to protect the decimation of olive trees in the Azapa valley, I created a table olive contest to encourage competition, promotion, history, and the fight for preserving the unique flavor of our great “Aceituna de Azapa”.
